Tri City Materials was started by two brothers, Ron and Rick Esbaugh, in November, 2005.

It was conformed by a simple concept to supply quality aggregate materials to its sister company, Tri City Readymix.  Tri City Materials bought the assets of A-1 Aggregates.  A-1 was primarily a road builders gravel supply company.  Tri City has built on this business and now supplies washed sand and stone for concrete and asphalt plants, road building materials and the commercial, ICI, and agricultural sectors.

We also are big believers in recycling.  We take in excess concrete and asphalt from various sites, recycle it to a reusable finished product such as Recycled Asphalt, Type II Road Base, and Recycled A Gravel.  This is not only good for the environment, but keeps our valuable virgin material in reserves. 

In March 2007, we purchased the assets of Ramseyer Trucking.  With this purchase came the rights to four pits and Ramseyer's key employees.  One of these employees, Mike Black, has become our Operation's Manager.  Mike oversees all of the pits, employees, and custom crushing and screening.  We have pit locations in Kitchener, Petersburg, New Hamburg, and Wellesley, all serving the greater Kitchener-Waterloo area and west to Stratford and Listowel.
